Just stayed for the night whilst in town for a concert at the Beacon. Lovely hotel with helpful and friendly staff. Large and comfortable room with big bathroom. A bit of noise from the street, but that’s what you get with the Central location.location I guess. I also had a very nice full English breakfast. Shame we couldn’t stay for longer. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a quality hotel in the centre of Bristol or close to the Bristol Beacon.

We were gifted a champagne afternoon tea for a birthday/anniversary. Booking was easy although we had to wait until September due to graduation dinners during August. Well it was worth the wait, the food was superb, freshly prepared and the selection of savoury and sweet so different than the usual offerings. The service was excellent and our waiter, sorry didn't get his name, was efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. An altogether very enjoyable experience on a wet Wednesday afternoon.

This was our second Christmas stay. 3 years ago Christmas Day was pretty chaotic but overall we enjoyed our stay so much that we were quite happy to go back. The room, the service, the staff, the restaurant was excellent. Christmas Day service from Buddy The Elf (Cosmin), Alessandro (Alex) and *all* the staff in the restaurant was superb. I rarely write reviews and am accustomed to moaning about lack of service these days so feel duty bound to say a really big thank you given that we were so well looked after by everyone at The Hotel du Vin Bristol City. Thank you Phillip Phillip & Peter Christmas 2025

It was truly a very surprising pleasant stay. Interiors are truly beautifully crafted and very well cured and maintained. Reception was very professional. In this occasion I haven't tried the bistro but it will be my next stop, next time

Seemed expensive but upon arrival it is easy to see that the quality justifies the cost. Super king bed in a large dog friendly room with massive bathroom and great breakfast/dining options. Casting to the room tv was hit and miss with no native Netflix nor ability to connect own HDMI. Great mini fridge though.

This was our first stay with this hotel, and it was excellent! We booked for a two-night stay to celebrate our anniversary. Arrived on the Friday afternoon, a little early, so we were going to see if we could just drop our suitcase and pop out for a while. The weather was a bit foul, so we were very pleased to be told that our room was ready, so we were able to check in immediately. We just had a standard double, and it was more than enough for our needs. Very spacious room, big inviting bed and one of the nicest hotel bathrooms I have encountered for a while. Very large bathroom, with roll top bath and a walk-through shower! I have mobility issues and there is a step up into the shower but there was a bar/handle on the wall and a non-slip mat, so I felt very secure getting in and out. The products supplied were also top notch. Unusually, for a UK hotel, they also had a fridge in the room that was usable and had a carafe of complimentary water. A nice touch. The bed was lovely, and I had such a good sleep. We had pre-booked dinner in the restaurant as it was a Friday night. Dinner was lovely and our wait staff were very friendly and professional. Couldn’t be faulted. Of course, we also made use of the hotel bar, on a few occasions. All the staff were a joy, and the bar staff were extremely knowledgeable on the beers, wines and ports on offer, and I appreciated their recommendations. They also did a lovely range of cocktails we were happy to try. The bar offers a very decent bar food menu, which we sampled on the Saturday, again, the food here was excellent. There were quite a few people having afternoon tea and whilst we did not partake, it looked excellent! If we are ever back in Bristol, we will certainly be booking to stay here and have no hesitation in recommending it. Well done to the management for building such a special team. From the housekeeping staff to front of house, bar & restaurant, everyone that we encountered were lovely and an asset to the hotel. Top marks all round.

Chances are, if you're visiting Bristol, a city centre location is advantageous. In our case, visiting family for Christmas, the location was perfect as a base to meet up with people within travelling distance. Staff are friendly, easy going and accomodating. Rooms are surprisingly plush and spacious. Upgraded suites are very up market and offer lots of space. Even the standard rooms are well equipped and stylish (as you might well be expecting for a 'Boutique Hotel'). Ours had a fantastic bath and large shower room. 10/10. Comfy bed and pillows made for a great night's sleep. Food - Bistro Du Vin offers superb dining. It's moderately priced, but very good indeed. I'm fairly discerning, but there is nothing to fault with the food - it's genuinely excellent. Wide selection of cocktails, bottles, ciders and wines/champagne. Coffee - really nice! Dog friendly - yep! I liked the vibe during our Christmas get together. During the fresh, crisp winter days, it was a perfect place to walk along the River and check out the coffee shops. Or Brunel's SS Great Britain. Overall, we would really like an excuse to come back here again soon.
